The Greenlandic/Danish singer and songwriter Simon Lynge has signed with Songcrafter Music for a spring release of his awesome new album “The Absence of Fear.”
Recorded in Hollywood at Bell Sound and funded by fans through Kickstarter, it showcases Simon as a world class songwriter and singer and features the talents of some of today’s finest musicians, including a special appearance by legendary guitarist, Steve Cropper, on Simon’s version of Steve and Otis Redding’s classic (Sittin’ On The) Dock Of the Bay.
Other great musicians on the album include Butch Norton on drums (Lucinda Williams), Janek Gwizdala on bass (John Mayer), Davy Nathan on piano (Christina Aguilera, Toni Braxton, ) and Joel Whitley on guitar (Stevie Wonder, Prince, Dr. Dre) among other equally strong talent.
Produced by Simon and engineer Thai Long Ly, it is a warm and lush album, which reflects the current stage of life Simon is experiencing with a wife and two young kids at home. It’s a mature, yet playful snapshot of a human being alive and optimistic in a time of great change and turmoil.
Simon Lynge will be touring worldwide throughout 2014, in support of The Absence Of Fear.
